@cdils hey Carrie. So, I was inspired by your courses on WordPress and I wanted to try doing online courses myself — on digital marketing. Just wanted you to know how much you’ve inspired me and I wanted to thank you 🙂— Ash (@fetchprofits) July 16, 2019
I could not agree more! Thank u to @cdils for opening the #WordPress door for me, which eventually landed me at @SandhillsDev that employs some of the most amazing people I can call colleagues and friends. https://t.co/koD30kTDl0— Ginger Coolidge (@gscoolidge) July 14, 2019

There are so many people I admire in the WordPress community, it doesn't seem possible to pick just one. But I think if I do have to pick one, it will have to be @cdils. At a low point, Carrie encouraged me, taught me some knew stuff, and made me feel valued in WP community.— Paul Oyler (@PappyOyler) June 20, 2019
Carrie is a brilliant WordPress Developer. Has made my years using @studiopress and Genesis very exciting.— James Edward Parkin (@jamesedparkin) June 11, 2019
Great to see people helping the visually impaired, to inspire them to follow their dreams.
Just wanted to drop a note of appreciation for your course on LinkedIn Learning. I just finished WordPress.com Essential Training and even though I’ve been using WP for nearly 2 years – I had no idea of everything I could do.
There wasn’t a way to rate the class or comment on in LinkedIn – so I thought I’d send a direct note.
Your ability to explain WordPress and keep it simple, engaging, and often humorous helps give me confidence that there is a place for me in this crazy web development/WordPress world. And while I may not be an expert developer, or a fantastic designer I have learned a few things about WordPress over the last two years and I’m sure I must have something to contribute back to the WordPress community. I plan to do just that. I’ve joined a local WordPress Meetup group and plan to volunteer at WordCamp SLC 2017. In the back of my mind is the thought of organizing a WordCamp in Boise, ID, but that one is down the road a ways.
I just wanted to say thank you for what you do to help others. Your warm, generous, approachable, personality shows through in your speaking and in your writing. Keep up the good work, it’s appreciated!
I love the way you teach! I am almost done with the Genesis theme from Scratch course at lynda and I learned a bunch of stuff! Still have to practice again an again because there is a million details. Thank you!
Thank you so much for your help! Your podcast, blog and courses on Lynda.com are really accelerating my WordPress education.
I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your WordPress.com Essential Training class on Lynda.com. I had struggled to learn the basics of WordPress.com, and then found your class. It was fantastic! You’re an amazing teacher and you made each section understandable. I very much enjoyed the class and go back to it when I need a reminder on a topic.
I also heard you present at WordCamp SLC in 2016, and enjoyed your presentation there, also.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and making this material more accessible to the rest of us!
Have a wonderful day,
Thank you for your e copy of money talk. Very informative. I discovered you this weekend while watching your course on css frameworks and grids on lynda.com and was very impressed by your capacity to bring a confusing subject to clarity.
I’m slowly organizing myself to get back into the world of freelance web design and it’s a comfort to know there are resources out there to ease the transition,
Regards, Pauline S.
Carrie, yours has become a trusted resource in my early days of diving into the wordpress/genisis pool(I’m barely floating) so thank you for making available what you do.
Just wanted to drop you a line to thank you for an amazing job! I’m currently binge-learning your videos on Lynda.com, discovered your website and it’s all amazing. Just, thank you, your help is wonderful! Please keep going 🙂
You rock. Your courses at Lynda have been a great help especially the WordPress and Genesis: building child themes from scratch. I also appreciate your blog. I’ve been reading it for quite some time now. Thanks again, and God Bless!
I have a new client who works in real estate and I’m doing his website. I’m using Winning Agent Pro and I’m currently watching your setup video.
I’m really enjoying it which might sound lame but honest to god I’ve watched SO MANY tutorials during my web design career and yours is so charming and pleasant and doesn’t completely make me feel like my brain is slowly leaking out of my ears with every passing second of droning monotony.
So, thanks for not being a vegetable. You made my day.
In good web chi,
I recently found your course on building a Genesis child theme from scratch on Lynda.com and found it very useful.
Just wanted to say thanks for putting together a great course.
It has been such a joy to work with Carrie! Carrie has designed three websites for our brands and we are so happy with the results. Carrie makes the process easy by her great attention to detail and professionalism. I can always trust that she will do the job with excellence. She is patient and takes the time to learn what her clients are looking for and she goes above and beyond in making sure the site is secure and that when her job is complete the client knows how to work the back end of the site. I would highly recommend Carrie to anyone that is looking to revamp or design a website!
Going into it I had definite thoughts about how I wanted the site to look and work. Since many customers meet me online first, I knew the site needed to present my business strategy effectively to consumers, and be easy to use and navigate. Carrie helped refine my hand-sketched designs and researched “latest trends” to develop a great new version of my site.
Carrie and I discussed colors, online consumer trends, and layout at length. She seemed to get what I was trying to do, and make recommendations when designs didn’t “work” online. It was a very professional collaboration and I am excited with the finished site.
Creative, smart, professional and efficient – these are just a few words to describe Carrie Dils. We were looking to not only update the look and feel of our website, but to also add additional functionality. Carrie immediately understood all of our needs and provided a quick response to our bid, which included building a custom application for our job board, rather than trying to tweak a current application. Working with Carrie is a dream. Her design was spot on and she exceeded all of our expectations, meeting our deadline and on budget. We look forward to our continued relationship.
Carrie Dils at CWD Holdings is the perfect web site partner! She listens, executes, meets pre-scheduled deadlines and follows up after launch.
We recently started up a second company and found ourselves needing to do a very industry/service specific website and collateral from scratch. While we clearly needed technical expertise, we also required intuitive capabilities to capture the essence of our company visually as well as be able to both assimilate information and translate the core offerings, personality and philosophy of our company into something workable and understandable for the audience we desired to reach.
Carrie has demonstrated those unique capabilities along with the patience to evolve the process according to the work style of her client. We launched in record time, and continue to collaborate with her to ensure our site and materials remain fluid to meet our ever-changing needs.
As the owner of a small interior design firm, my focus is on my business – not my website. In an effort to redo my existing site, I encountered what a lot of business owners do – high fees, lengthy delays, confusing technical jargon and an assumption that I know a lot more than I do resulting in frustration and a site that never really met my needs.
Carrie was able to rework my earlier website development efforts quickly, creatively, and collaboratively with an approach that fit within my budget and with my technical ability. I’m so pleased with the outcome of her efforts and would recommend her without reservation to anyone looking for a terrific partner in creating a website for their business.
