  1. Great article Carrie! The lack of communication from my clients has been the biggest surprise of my programming career. I hate setting rigid deadline and structures for my clients because I’m always afraid of appearing cold and mechanical. I want the entire process to be as easy on the client as possible.

But since my projects are not billed hourly, I have come to realize that I must make a change in handling my upcoming clients. Do you recommend sending an outline email with the requirements and letting the client decide on the start date? My fear in doing this would be that the client keeps stalling, and I don’t get the work that I need to stay afloat!

  2. By the way, where do get the stock images for your website? I have been using shutterstock but I’m always on the lookout for other resources. Thanks 🙂
